As former President of MRI and CT operations, I never believed the service would impact my personal health.

Several years ago my own CT scan revealed information about my health that my doctor would not have detected for several years. I was a demonstration patient for the training on our new CT scanner and was certainly not expecting any abnormal results. The CT test found a small growth on my thyroid. My doctor advised surgery to remove my thyroid, as cells on the growth were atypical (about to turn cancerous). The results from surgery have been great. When I returned for a post-op visit, my doctor said it would have taken four years for symptoms to show themselves! Since we all know how important early intervention is for beating cancer, we know how important CT scans can be for early detection.

I was delighted that I could get the information so quickly. “Being a realist, I only worry about things that I can impact myself. The fact that I was diagnosed so early was a great gift. I was fortunate to obtain useful information that corrected my health issue before it became a problem.
